The story so far...

When I was 4 years old I painted a picture of a kangaroo in class and my teacher Mrs Clay said that I was going to be good at art.

When I was 13 years old while pondering my career options, my art teacher Mr Grundy asked me if I had thought about a career in graphic design to which I replied, "Does it pay well?" He said, "Well my mate drives a red BMW" and I thought well that's good enough for me.

While studying OND graphic design at college I came across an album by Jesus Jones called 'Liquidizer' I bought the album not because of the music but because of the record sleeve and from that moment on, I set my sights on becoming a record sleeve designer.

For my HND final major project I visited Vaughan Oliver's studio V23 at 4AD Records and asked him to set me a brief which he very kindly did.

I graduated with a distinction –  now all I needed was a job.

In 1994 after several fruitless months of trying to get work, my fortunes changed when my Dad while in the library noticed an advert in The Guardian. He took his out pencil and wrote  the ad down on the back of a bus ticket.

Graduate designer required for London Record Company, apply to Mr C Daniels.

I applied for the role – 350 applicants and 3 interviews later, I got the job and never looked back.
